There's space for both the grand love and all the small moments – from nervous preparations to dancing under the stars. When you book Villa Alskog, you get exclusive access to the estate, and we ensure everything is prepared and ready when you arrive so you can focus on what matters most.

Why celebrate your wedding at Villa Alskog?

We got married on Gotland ourselves over ten years ago in the garden of our summer cottage overlooking the fields. It became an unforgettable weekend we often think back on. Now that we once again have a garden with views over the Gotlandic countryside, neighboring lamb pastures and farmland, we want to give others the opportunity to create their own magical weekend here.

When you stay here during the wedding weekend, you don't just stay beautifully, you stay together. Our eight guest rooms give you and your nearest the opportunity to share the entire experience – from the first morning coffee to the last dance.

Villa Alskog is a venue that becomes entirely yours. You have the freedom to create your own wedding weekend exactly as you want it – hire professional vendors for everything, or take care of parts yourself together with family and friends. We're happy to provide contact with our recommended partners, but you decide what you need help with. That way, you only pay for the services you truly need.

A weekend to remember

The wedding weekend at Villa Alskog is designed to give you time together, both before and after the big day.

Friday is for arrival and relaxation. Gather by the pool, take a walk in the garden, or enjoy a welcome dinner together in the large country kitchen. It's the perfect time to unwind after the journey and let the anticipation build.

Saturday is your big day. The ceremony can be held in the medieval Alskog church right next door, or in our own lush garden for a more nature-close ceremony. After the ceremony, the festivities await, with the possibility to both mingle and set up dinner for your guests, either indoors in our charming reception rooms or outdoors under the pergola by the pool. With the view over the fields, the evening sun coloring the limestone walls golden, and the freedom to celebrate exactly as you wish, it becomes an evening you won't soon forget.

Sunday is best concluded with a shared brunch where you can relive yesterday's highlights, take a final dip in the pool, and enjoy each other before checking out.

Ceremony in the garden or church

Villa Alskog is located next to the beautiful Alskog church, a serene and atmospheric medieval church from the 1100s, surrounded by walls and lush greenery. It's a place where you can easily walk together with your guests to the festivities on the other side of the gate after the ceremony.

If you instead dream of something more relaxed and nature-close, you can choose to say "I do" in our own garden, surrounded by blooming flower beds, limestone walls, and views over the Gotlandic landscape. A beautiful and personal place where you create your own ceremony, exactly as you want it.

Flexible venues

Villa Alskog is a place with soul, a Gotlandic vicarage where history and character create a unique setting for your celebration. There's room for both intimate moments and larger parties, with flexibility to adapt according to season, weather, and number of guests.

Indoors, our venues accommodate up to 80 mingling guests or 40 seated for dinner in one room, up to 60 guests if you use two adjacent rooms at an angle. Outdoors, you can set up dinner for 40 guests under the pergola by the pool, or welcome 100+ guests with a party tent.

You have access to the entire estate during your stay, including living rooms, reception rooms, library, the fully equipped kitchen, pool area, and the lush gardens.

Tip: For tents, extra furniture, and tableware, we recommend Visby Hyrtält – they're experienced with weddings at our venue.

Food and drink

Food and drink are among the highlights of the wedding weekend. The vicarage kitchen is large and professionally equipped with a substantial stove, multiple ovens, professional dishwasher, and plenty of workspace for large-scale cooking. You have complete freedom to choose how you want to handle the food – cook yourselves together with family and friends, or hire professional catering.

We have a close partnership with Egils Kök, which offers everything from intimate dinners to festive menus with full service staff, but you're welcome to hire any catering company. For a more relaxed atmosphere, you can arrange a barbecue evening on the terrace or a pool party in the evening sun. Gas and charcoal grills are available to borrow.

We don't have a liquor license, which means you purchase and are responsible for the beverages you want to serve. Several refrigerators are available during your stay.
