About Villa Alskog
Villa Alskog is a small-scale boutique hotel in eastern Gotland, just five minutes from the beaches of Ljugarn.
Here you stay in a 19th-century rectory in an environment where design, privacy and genuine hospitality meet – with only five personal rooms, morning yoga by the pool and breakfast baskets delivered to your door.
We welcome you to a place created with heart and care, where every detail carries our own story.
Our Story
Our journey to Villa Alskog began long before we moved here. In 2009, just a month after we got together, we bought our first shared summer cottage on Gotland – a place that quickly became our home base during ten years of intense work and travel, including a few years in New York.
When the pandemic opened the door to remote work in 2021, we took the plunge: we left the Stockholm startup scene with our three children and moved permanently to Gotland to create something of our own.
Since then, we have renovated, developed and built Villa Alskog piece by piece – always with the goal of creating a home that others can also experience. Our philosophy is simple: nothing should be impersonal or casual. Every room, every breakfast basket, every detail is carefully selected and designed to give a sense of beauty and care.
Villa Alskog continues to grow, with respect for the soul of the place and with the dream that every guest will feel at home - even though they are still on vacation!
