About Villa Alskog
We, the owners of Villa Alskog, are Karin and Björn. We left city life in Stockholm during the early spring of 2021, and together with our three children, we now live here year-round. Since taking over, we have gradually renovated the hotel and developed the concept, aiming to offer our guests not just accommodation but a comprehensive experience during their stay with us.
There are a total of five hotel rooms, including two family suites. We welcome dogs in four of our five rooms and in all common areas. All rooms have private bathrooms, Smart TVs, refrigerators, and kettles. Breakfast is delivered in a basket to the room, and you can choose where to enjoy it.
Dinner is served daily for the guests who wish to partake. Our focus is on seasonal ingredients from local producers, and, when possible, from our own kitchen garden. During the summer season, there are also many excellent restaurant choices in the nearby town Ljugarn.
The pool area overlooks the fields, and it's not uncommon to be accompanied by the neighbour's sheep grazing in the closest pasture. The pool is heated between May and September/October. Here, you can enjoy everything from the breakfast basket in the morning to a glass of rosé during the sunset in the evening. We also offer Morning Yoga by the pool a few days a week during the summer.
We operate as a summer hotel during weeks 28-31, and during the rest of the time, we are open for special weekend events as well as for weddings, meetings, and conferences.

OUR ROOMS
Villa Alskog has a total of five hotel rooms, three in the main building and two in the Annex.
All rooms have private bathrooms, Smart TVs, refrigerators, and kettles.
We welcome dogs in our three rooms in the main building and in one of the rooms in the Annex. If you are allergic to pets, please book Room 4 in the Annex.
Note that we have a minimum stay of 2 nights for our family rooms. If they do not appear in the list, it may be because you have only searched for one night.
OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
Every morning, a breakfast basket is delivered to the room. We offer vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free alternatives as standard options.
Free Wifi
The summer of 2023, we opened a restaurant featuring dishes emphasizing the flavors of the season. We have a full bar service.
Pool
The pool is integrated into the Gotland landscape, offering views of the fields beyond.
The heated pool opens in May and closes in September/October, depending on the weather.
Dogs
We welcome dogs in four of the rooms and all common areas. Dogs should be kept on a leash.
We provide dog beds and water bowls on request.
Free Wifi
Wifi is available throughout the property.
Charging
As part of our sustainability efforts, we have three electric vehicle chargers available for our guests.
WEDDING
Ten years ago, we got married on Gotland in the garden of our summer cottage with a view over the fields. Incredibly beautiful! We now want to offer this experience to others as we once again have a garden overlooking the Gotland countryside, neighboring sheep pastures and fields.
It is now possible to exclusively rent the entire Villa Alskog for you and your guests. We can accommodate a total of 19 guests. We have a smaller indoor lounge and spacious outdoor areas, including a pool where you can host events like a pool party.
