About Villa Alskog
Villa Alskog is a family-run boutique hotel located just five minutes from the beaches of Ljugarn. With five individually decorated rooms, morning yoga by the pool and breakfast baskets delivered to your door, we offer a place where design, relaxation and genuine hospitality meet.
We live here all year round and during the summer weeks 27–31 we open our summer hotel for holidaymakers looking for beautiful and practical accommodation where everyone feels at home. The rest of the year we welcome private parties, weddings and smaller conferences.
In 2021, when the pandemic made remote work possible, we left the Stockholm startup scene with our three children to create something of our own on Gotland. Since then, we have renovated and developed Villa Alskog with the goal of offering a place where the feeling of "home" meets hotel luxury, where you as a guest can relax from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

When Villa Alskog Becomes a Summer Hotel
This year, we open our summer hotel during weeks 29 and 31. Here, you stay in a home rather than a traditional hotel — a home where every room is uniquely styled and where the pace is slow, thoughtful, and relaxed.
As a guest, you wake up to a breakfast basket delivered to your room, enjoy leisurely days by the heated pool overlooking the open fields, and reach the beach life of Ljugarn just minutes away. Morning yoga by the pool is offered a couple of times a week for those who wish to start the day in a calm and mindful way.
Our summer hotel is for those who value the personal over the large-scale — a place where details matter, where tranquility is just as important as the experiences, and where Gotland can be enjoyed at its very best in summer.
The feeling of being a guest – not just an accommodation
Villa Alskog offers a total of five individually designed hotel rooms, each with its own character and charm. Three of the rooms are located in the main building, while two can be found in our Annex. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, Smart TV, refrigerator, and kettle to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Room 1 and Room 3: Our spacious family suites in the main building. Perfect for larger families or groups seeking ample space and two separate bedrooms.

Room 2: A charming mini-suite in the main building, ideal for couples or smaller families wanting a larger room beneath the exposed beams.

Room 4: An allergy-friendly double room in the Annex, reserved for guests who prefer a pet-free environment.

Room 5: A family room in the Annex, accommodating families of up to four people.
Four-legged friends are welcome in all rooms except Room 4 in the Annex. This ensures that the entire family – including your pets – can enjoy the stay together.

OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
Every morning, a breakfast basket is delivered to the room. We offer vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free alternatives as standard options.
Exercise
During the summer we have morning yoga at 9-10 am by the pool on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
We also have dumbbells and yoga mats to lend to guests.
Pool
The pool is integrated into the Gotland landscape, offering views of the fields beyond.
The heated pool opens in May and closes in September/October, depending on the weather.
Dogs
We welcome dogs in four of the rooms and all common areas. Dogs should be kept on a leash.
We provide dog beds and water bowls on request.
Free Wifi
Wifi is available throughout the property.
Charging
As part of our sustainability efforts, we have three electric vehicle chargers available for our guests.

When you rent the entire Villa Alskog, our boutique hotel becomes exclusively yours. All eight unique rooms, the pool, the country kitchen, and the shared spaces are at your disposal. Here, family, friends, or colleagues can gather, cook together, enjoy the evening sun, and create memories in a place that feels like home – just for you.
Weddings in the Gotland Countryside
We were married on Gotland almost fifteen years ago, in a garden overlooking open fields. A calm and beautiful experience that has stayed with us ever since — and one we now wish to pass on.
Villa Alskog is set in the heart of the Gotland countryside, surrounded by open farmland and grazing lambs. It is a place to gather family and friends in an environment that feels personal, relaxed, and more like a home than a traditional wedding venue.
Villa Alskog can be booked exclusively for you and your guests. With eight bedrooms and 22 beds, generous indoor and outdoor spaces, and a heated pool, there is plenty of room to celebrate, connect, and unwind together — perhaps with a pre-wedding gathering or a relaxed poolside celebration the day before.
